Quincy Medical Center Opens New SuRgical SPECIALTY Clinics in collaboration withtufts medical center

Breast surgeons Roger Graham, MD, and Janice Rothschild, MD, will see patients in the Breast Clinic at QMC. Graham is Chief of the Division of Surgical Oncology and Director of the Breast Health Center at Tufts Medical Center. In addition to breast surgery, Rothschild also specializes in general surgery, including pancreatobiliary surgery, minimally invasive surgery/laparoscopy, endoscopy, and gastrointestinal surgery. Thoracic surgeon Laurence Brinckerhoff, MD, will also see patients and perform surgery at QMC two days a week, treating patients with a variety of thoracic conditions, including lung cancer. Brinkerhoff is Chief of the General Thoracic Surgery Section at Tufts MC and is an Assistant Professor at Tufts University School of Medicine. ![]() To celebrate the opening of the new clinics, QMC hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony and open house in the newly renovated QMC Surgical Specialties Clinic, where a number of surgical specialists, including QMC general surgeons, vascular surgeons and podiatrists, see patients pre- and postoperatively. Mayor Thomas Koch, members of the Quincy City Council, and administration and staff from both QMC and Tufts MC were in attendance. “This ribbon cutting ceremony represents more than just a celebration of this new space and our expanded services for our patients – though both of these are very exciting and important,” said John N. Kastanis, FACHE, QMC interim CEO. “This ceremony represents the first of many exciting things on the horizon at Quincy Medical Center and a great initial step in our in our affiliation with Tufts Medical Center, the first of many more to come.” |
